At SGD 3D, we are proud to support ARX Security, a leading manufacturer of modular barrier systems, with precision 3D printed scale models for their international tradeshows and product demonstrations.

Turning Full-Scale Barriers into Portable Trade Show Models

ARX Security produces a wide range of modular barriers used for vehicle containment, crowd control, and perimeter protection. The challenge was to create scaled, lightweight models that accurately represented their full-scale systems but could be easily transported and displayed at exhibitions across Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Using SLS 3D printing technology, our team at SGD 3D reproduced these robust structures with remarkable accuracy and fine surface detail. The parts were printed in Nylon PA12 GF, a durable engineering-grade material ideal for handling, travel, and frequent setup during demonstrations.

From CAD to Exhibition-Ready Models

Working closely with ARX Security’s engineering team, we converted their existing CAD data into 3D printable formats suitable for small-scale reproduction. Every component was carefully scaled, assembled, and finished to ensure it maintained the visual and structural integrity of the original designs.

After printing, the models were vapour smoothed to enhance surface finish and provide a professional, injection-moulded appearance. Where required, our painting service was used to colour-match the parts to ARX Security’s brand palette, ensuring the finished display models represented the real products as closely as possible.
