UltiMaker has unveiled its latest FDM 3D printer, the UltiMaker S8, designed to significantly enhance printing speeds and overall productivity. This dual-extrusion fused filament fabrication system achieves maximum print speeds of up to 500mm/s and acceleration up to 50,000mm/s², offering productivity levels four times higher than its predecessor, the UltiMaker S7.

Standout features of the new UltiMaker S8 include:

Enhanced Electronics Platform: Features five times the processing power of the S7, enabling faster and more efficient operations.

High-Flow Print Cores: Allow for increased material deposition rates, supporting rapid printing without compromising quality.

Improved Feeder System: Ensures consistent and reliable material feeding, reducing the likelihood of print failures.

UltiMaker Cheetah Motion Planner: Delivers precision of 0.15mm ± 0.15%, mitigating common issues associated with high-speed printing, such as ringing and blobs.

UltiMaker - Focus on Speed

The S8 also introduces hot-swappable AA+ and CC+ print cores, providing 2.5 times more flow and greater efficiency when printing with composite and engineering-grade materials. Additionally, a newly designed hardened feeder module offers better material control for reliable performance at high speeds. The printer is compatible with hundreds of filaments from the UltiMaker Marketplace, including the new UltiMaker Nylon CF Slide, a PFAS-free Nylon 612 CF copolymer designed for industrial applications requiring wear resistance and temperature resistance up to 180°C.

Integration with the UltiMaker Digital Factory enables users to remotely manage their print jobs, enhancing workflow efficiency. These features collectively position the UltiMaker S8 as a robust solution for professionals seeking rapid, reliable, and high-quality 3D printing capabilities.
